I want to stimulate my GROWTH MINDSET with posts, articles, podcasts, or books

Personal development has been significantly disrupted in the last decade. New concepts like growth mindset, comfort zone, e-learning, skill development, peer coaching, micro habit formation, learning by doing, and many others have emerged, shifting responsibility for progress to individuals.

Two critical elements play a significant role in your personal development: having a GROWTH MINDSET and finding comfort beyond the COMFORT ZONE.

GROWTH MINDSET involves taking full responsibility for personal development and believing in yourself. It means embracing challenges, seeking constructive feedback, and adapting to new ways of working, such as learning by doing and development in role.

Operating beyond your COMFORT ZONE is equally crucial. This involves reflecting on career aspirations, conducting a gap analysis of skills and experiences needed, and seeking real personal or business challenges. These could include managing emergencies, leading projects, or taking on stretched assignments in different geographies or cultures.

Don’t fear failure; it’s an opportunity to grow. Mistakes are inevitable when stepping out of your COMFORT ZONE. The key is to learn from them and avoid repetition.

Below there are ten different tips or simple techniques to stimulate your GROWTH MINDSET:

  1. Be authentic
  2. Ask for constructive feedback
  3. Ask questions with the intent to understand
  4. Make, admit to, and learn from mistakes
  5. Meet inspiring people
  6. Travel abroad and explore new cultures
  7. Read articles, posts, or books on new topics
  8. Listen to audiobooks and podcasts
  9. Challenge daily routine
  10. At work look for a new task, project, or even job change

Don’t wait and start challenging yourself today. It will be uncomfortable; it will be difficult, however there are many benefits waiting for you. Reward yourself for every little success.

And don’t forget that EVERYONE has unlimited potential.
